The 8581373 / 0281031162 Bosch engine controller (DDE8581373) is designed for modern BMW diesel engines. This module is used in BMW X1 F48 and F49 vehicles, providing correct engine management and full communication with the vehicle systems.

The controller is installed in cars with 1.6d and 2.0d engines, produced between 2015–2022. Replacing the controller with another unit requires adaptation to the vehicle.

This version requires programming. Adaptation is performed using manufacturer diagnostics (ISTA / ISTA+) or professional programming tools. Alternatively, data cloning from the original controller is possible, allowing the vehicle to start in Plug&Play mode.
