06K907425B – Continental SIMOS 18.1 ECU IMMO OFF Plug & Play
The Continental engine ECU with hardware number 06K 907 425 B and software number 8S0 906 264 is supplied in an IMMO OFF Plug & Play configuration. This solution allows a faulty ECU to be replaced without the standard immobiliser pairing procedure.
Applications of the 8S0906264 ECU
This module is fitted to selected Audi TT models from the 8S/FV generation:
- Audi TT 8S/FV Coupé – selected versions from approximately 2015 onwards,
- Audi TT 8S/FV Roadster – selected versions from approximately 2015 onwards,
- 1.8 TFSI petrol engine, engine code CJSA.
This ECU is not compatible with every Audi TT from this production period. Before purchasing, compare the numbers on your original module, particularly 06K907425B and 8S0906264. Software compatibility should also be confirmed using a clear photo of the ECU label or the vehicle VIN.
Common symptoms of a faulty engine ECU
A faulty ECU can cause a range of problems depending on the type of internal failure and the condition of the vehicle's electrical system:
- engine fails to start,
- no diagnostic communication with the ECU,
- irregular engine operation or unexpected stalling,
- ignition or fuel injection control faults,
- loss of control over selected engine components,
- problems occurring when the module becomes warm or intermittent loss of communication.
Similar symptoms can also be caused by faulty wiring, power supply, ground connections, the wiring harness or other vehicle components. Proper vehicle diagnostics are recommended before replacing the ECU.
Programming and module preparation
The ECU is prepared as IMMO OFF Plug & Play. This means the immobiliser function is disabled in the appropriate software version, so the standard procedure of pairing the ECU with the vehicle's immobiliser system is not required.
- the correct version is selected according to the numbers on the original ECU,
- the module is programmed before dispatch,
- if necessary, compatibility can be checked using a photo of the original ECU label or the VIN,
- data from the original ECU can only be cloned if its memory can be read correctly,
- additional vehicle equipment coding may be required if the module numbers or configuration differ from the factory version.
The warranty covers the supplied ECU and the programming service performed. It does not cover faults caused by damaged vehicle wiring, short circuits, water damage, incorrect installation or other vehicle-related failures.
