Typical symptoms

- no power supply to the ECU although the fuses are fine,
- failure after water ingress or a short circuit in the wiring.

How to choose the ECU
For the Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet, but the label decides, not the model. Your ECU must carry the same two numbers:

Virgin or IMMO OFF?
ECU 0281015576 is prepared as Virgin Plug & Play, so after fitting it codes itself to the vehicle and immobiliser (with matching numbers and a working immobiliser). An IMMO OFF version is also possible – the vehicle drives, but with an immobiliser fault and a red warning light that only immobiliser programming removes.
