What is a Mercedes ISM module?
ISM stands for Intelligent Servo Module. It is the actuator used by the Mercedes DIRECT SELECT system and is identified as A80 in Mercedes-Benz diagnostics. The unit is mounted at the transmission and physically carries out the requested selection of P, R, N or D.

A VIRGIN ISM has been cleared of the previous vehicle data and prepared for assignment to another compatible vehicle. It is ready for programming, but it is not plug-and-play. After installation it requires initial start-up and adaptation.
