description

ENGINE ECU 55578395 SX OPEL CORSA D – VIRGIN VERSION READY FOR PROGRAMMING

Modification options – CHIP TUNING and EGR OFF available on request

The offered engine ECU with number 55578395SX comes from original disassembly and has been prepared for reuse in another vehicle. The ECU works in VIRGIN mode – all previous data has been removed, and the unit is ready to be coded into a new car using TECH-2 or OP-COM.

It is possible to pre-program the ECU according to the customer’s files: FLASH, EEPROM, or MPC. This configuration allows the vehicle to start without ECU coding – you receive a ready Plug&Play unit adapted to your data.

On request, we perform individual modifications such as CHIP TUNING (power increase) or EGR OFF (exhaust gas recirculation valve deactivation). The ECU housing has been renovated – cleaned, repainted, and sealed with silicone against moisture. However, we recommend avoiding water exposure to prevent electronic damage.

Frequently Asked Questions about Opel Corsa D Engine ECU 55578395 SX

Which vehicle is the 55578395 SX ECU compatible with?

The engine ECU 55578395 SX is designed for the Opel Corsa D. Always check the part number on your original ECU label to confirm compatibility.

What does VIRGIN mode mean for the 55578395 SX ECU?

VIRGIN mode means the ECU has been fully cleared of previous vehicle data and is ready for re-coding. Adaptation is possible with TECH-2 or OP-COM.

Can the 55578395 SX ECU be prepared in Plug&Play version?

Yes. If the customer provides FLASH, EEPROM, and MPC files from the old ECU, we can prepare the new unit in Plug&Play mode for immediate use without extra programming.

Is chip tuning or EGR OFF possible in the 55578395 SX ECU?

Yes. We offer software modifications – chip tuning (increasing power and torque) and EGR OFF (permanent deactivation of the recirculation valve).

How does programming of the 55578395 SX ECU work?

After installation, a VIRGIN ECU requires immobilizer coding via GM diagnostic tools. If pre-programmed in Plug&Play, the vehicle starts immediately after installation.

Is the renovated housing of the 55578395 SX ECU moisture resistant?

The housing has been cleaned, repainted, and sealed with silicone. Still, it is not fully waterproof – install it in a protected area to avoid water damage.

  • Faulty Engine Control Unit (ECU) Symptoms – Diagnosis and Repair Solutions

Symptoms of a Faulty Engine Control Unit – How to Recognize ECU Failure?

Engine control unit issues are often mistaken for other faults. No start, loss of communication with the ECU, limp mode or reduced engine power can all seem like ECU failure, but in many cases the real cause lies elsewhere – such as electrical wiring problems, injector faults or power supply issues.

How to Check if Your ECU is Faulty and What to Do Next

The key is to determine whether the ECU is actually the source of the problem or just reacting to another issue. In this guide, we explain what to look for, the most common causes of ECU failure and when repair is a viable option versus replacing the unit. We also cover the differences between VIRGIN and IMMO OFF solutions and when each approach makes sense.
