The label of your old ECU must carry the same two designations:
- Part number: 55252659
- ECU type: Magneti Marelli MJD 8F3.BD

Symptoms – diagnostics first
- failure after water ingress or a short circuit,
- no communication with the ECU,

Virgin or IMMO OFF?
- Virgin: after fitting it codes itself to the car and immobiliser, no programming – with matching numbers and a working immobiliser.
- IMMO OFF (on request): the engine runs, but a red immobiliser message stays on the dash and an error in diagnostics; it disappears only after the immobiliser is programmed.

What is the difference between IMMO OFF and Virgin?
