Why 1.7 CDTI ECUs fail
The Denso module is mounted low, in the left front wheel arch next to the bumper, so it is exposed to rain, road spray and snow. A damaged ECU causes starting and injector control problems, uneven running and misfires. Run a diagnosis before you buy.
How to check compatibility
The most reliable way is to compare labels. Your ECU should show the number 55590117 UD (55590117UD). This unit is intended for the Opel Astra H / Zafira B with the 1.7 CDTI engine, but the number decides the match, not the model or year.
