Original Bosch engine control unit used in selected Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles equipped with the 2.2 CDI engine. The module has been tested and prepared in a Virgin configuration, allowing it to be assigned to another vehicle using suitable diagnostic equipment.
Before purchasing, the references on the original ECU should be compared. Mercedes number A 646 150 05 77 and Bosch number 0 281 014 203 should match the markings on the module removed from the vehicle. The vehicle model, year of production or engine capacity alone are not sufficient for reliable part identification.
Similar symptoms can also be caused by damaged wiring, loss of power supply, a short circuit in engine components or a CAN network problem. A complete vehicle diagnosis is recommended before replacing the ECU.
The ECU is supplied as Virgin, meaning that it has been reset and prepared for assignment to the vehicle. After installation, adaptation, immobiliser synchronisation and the appropriate coding must be carried out using Star Diagnosis/Xentry.
If the original 0281014203 ECU still allows the data to be read, cloning may also be possible.
