Mercedes-Benz ISM modules in stock

The ISM is a module mounted on the 7G-Tronic 722.9 gearbox which, on a command from the selector, electrically shifts the gearbox into P, R, N and D. The transmission itself is controlled by a separate VGS control unit. We offer modules with Mercedes-Benz numbers A164 446 xx 10, A004 446 03 10 and A000 270 xx 52. How to choose an ISM module

In the Mercedes-Benz catalogue, number A0002701852 supersedes the older numbers A1644460310, A1644460410, A1644460510, A1644460610, A1644460710, A0044460310, A0002701652 and A0002701752. Newer numbers, e.g. A0002703252 (E W212 2014–2015, Vito W447) and A0002701952 (G W463 2015–2018), are separate versions.

Symptoms of an ISM module fault

  • the gearbox cannot be shifted out of P,
  • the gearbox does not respond when D or R is selected,
  • gearbox fault message and limp mode,
  • no communication with the ISM module during diagnostics.

Similar symptoms can be caused by the selector, the wiring or the VGS control unit – have the system diagnosed before you buy.
