The Smart ForFour 1.3 ECU is a used module checked before dispatch. All numbers must match the label of your ECU – model and engine size alone are not enough.

How to choose the ECU?

  • all numbers on the old ECU label – OEM and manufacturer,
  • the model, engine version and year of the car,
  • the VIN as supporting information.

One model could use different ECU and software versions. If the numbers differ, send us a photo of the label before buying.

What is needed after fitting?

After fitting, the ECU must be programmed and matched to the car (immobiliser, configuration) with a suitable diagnostic tool. Before buying, make sure your workshop can carry out this procedure.

Before you replace the ECU

A no-start, no diagnostic communication or limp mode do not always mean a faulty ECU. Check power and earth connections, fuses, relays, the wiring loom and connectors – an undetected wiring fault can damage the next module.

Testing, warranty and delivery

In many cases, the unit can be installed and used without any additional coding or adaptation.

      3. How do I choose the correct part for my vehicle?

      The most important step is to compare the part numbers found on your original unit. Pay special attention to the Bosch, Siemens, Magneti Marelli, Continental, or vehicle manufacturer's OEM part number. If you are unsure, simply send us a photo of your existing module or provide your vehicle's VIN, and our specialists will help you identify the correct part.

      4. Are the products covered by a warranty?

      Yes, all ECU engine controllers, ABS modules, BCM modules, BSI modules, transmission control units, and other automotive electronic modules offered in our store are covered by a warranty.
