Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTI HW03A Engine ECUs
This collection contains Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTI engine ECUs based on the Magneti Marelli MJD603.S3 HW03A platform. The modules are tested and prepared in VIRGIN condition so that they can be programmed and assigned to another compatible vehicle.
VIRGIN means that the immobiliser data from the previous vehicle has been removed. It does not mean that the ECU will operate immediately after being connected. Following installation, the ECU must be adapted to the vehicle using Tech-2, OP-COM or another compatible diagnostic tool and the vehicle’s security PIN.
During the correct adaptation procedure, the engine ECU is assigned to the vehicle’s immobiliser system, keys and related electronic modules. Once the procedure has been completed, the appropriate equipment variants should be configured and all stored fault codes checked and cleared.
What does a VIRGIN ECU mean?
A VIRGIN ECU no longer contains the active security data of the previous vehicle. The module retains the correct engine-management software but is prepared for assignment to another compatible car.

- the security code from the previous vehicle is not required,
- the security PIN of the vehicle receiving the ECU is required,

VIRGIN does not mean IMMO OFF. The immobiliser remains active and continues to protect the vehicle. The ECU must be correctly assigned to the vehicle’s original security system.
Is a Car Pass required for a VIRGIN ECU?
The previous vehicle’s Car Pass is not required to prepare an ECU in VIRGIN condition. However, the security PIN of the Opel Corsa D in which the ECU will be installed is normally required during adaptation. This PIN is commonly referred to as the Car Pass code.
If the original Car Pass card is unavailable, the vehicle security code must be obtained or retrieved before programming begins. Simply installing the VIRGIN ECU without completing the adaptation procedure will not normally allow the engine to start.

Programming with Tech-2 or OP-COM
After installing the VIRGIN ECU, it must be adapted according to the procedure specified for the Opel Corsa D. Compatible diagnostic equipment and the correct vehicle security PIN are required.
The basic procedure includes:
- installing an ECU with compatible part numbers,
- connecting a stable power supply or using a fully charged battery,
- connecting to the vehicle with Tech-2 or OP-COM,
