How to check compatibility
This number was fitted to the BMW X5 / X6 (N57 engine). The safest way is to compare labels – number 8517016 and Bosch number 0281018320 must be the same as on your ECU. A different number means a different version.
Data cloning included
ECU 8517016 is used, so it will not work straight after plugging in. It has to be programmed in the car, or the data from your old ECU has to be transferred to it: immobiliser, ISN and VIN. We do the cloning at no extra cost – just send us your current unit. In-car programming can be done with ISTA+ / ISTA 4, ISTA/P or E-Sys.
