Bosch 0281014750 and 0281014751 are different references and should not be exchanged solely because they are both fitted to Wrangler 2.8 CRD vehicles. Always compare the complete Bosch and Jeep numbers with the original ECU.

These symptoms do not automatically confirm ECU failure. Before replacing the controller, check the battery voltage, power supplies, earth connections, fuses, relays, wiring, sensors, fuel system and CAN network.
A damaged wire, faulty relay or incorrect sensor signal can imitate an engine-controller fault. An unresolved short circuit or power-supply problem may also damage the replacement ECU.
Water or moisture entering the controller or electrical connector can cause corrosion, short circuits and interrupted communication. When the original module remains readable, its data may sometimes be recovered and transferred to another compatible controller.
