Application
This ECU is used in the BMW F10 / F11 525d (N47D20 engine). Compatibility is decided by the number on your ECU label – 8586538 / 0281031947 – not just by the model and year.
Repair instead of replacement
If your ECU has no communication, cuts out once the engine is warm or has been contaminated with diesel, we can repair it – then it does not need programming. In the BMW 2.0 Diesel, diesel usually leaks from a faulty fuel pressure sensor and reaches the ECU connector through the wiring. Replace this sensor before refitting, or the problem will come back. On request we carry out EGR OFF, DPF OFF, AdBlue OFF and swirl flap removal (Flaps OFF). DPF OFF and AdBlue OFF only on cars fitted with these systems – not every model has AdBlue.
Data cloning included
ECU 8586538 is used, so it will not work straight after plugging in. It has to be programmed in the car, or the data from your old ECU has to be transferred to it: immobiliser, ISN and VIN. We do the cloning at no extra cost – just send us your current unit.
