Fiat gearbox control units in stock

Fiat used Magneti Marelli control units in cars with a robotised gearbox. The gearbox names changed over time: Selespeed (older 1.3 JTD diesels and the Alfa 147), Dualogic and, on newer labels, MTA (C514 MTA, C510 MTA). The Fiat 500X with the MultiAir engine has the C635 DDCT dual-clutch gearbox. Engine control units for these cars are in the Fiat engine control units category.

How to choose a Fiat gearbox control unit

  • Fiat number – 8 digits, e.g. 51864449 or 55252680,
  • Magneti Marelli control unit type – e.g. CFC328F.02, CFC208F.09; a different suffix (.02, .05, .13) means a different version,
  • Magneti Marelli number 62000.xxx.xx or the BC.xxxxxxx.x code, if shown on the label,
  • application code printed on the label, e.g. NUOVA 500 1242-8V C514MTA or PUNTO 1248 16V JTD SELESPEED.

The same CFC type comes with different Fiat numbers – we have CFC328F.02, for example, under the numbers 51856403, 51854504, 51840322 and 55250921. So compare both numbers.

Programming

The Fiat gearbox control units we offer do not require programming. Before ordering, compare the Fiat number and CFC type with the label on your control unit.

Symptoms of a Dualogic or Selespeed gearbox fault

  • the gearbox stays in neutral or will not engage a gear,
  • flashing warning light or gearbox fault message,
  • jerking and uneven gear changes,
  • no communication with the control unit during diagnostics.

In Dualogic and Selespeed gearboxes, similar symptoms are often caused by the hydraulic pump or pressure accumulator, the actuator or the sensors – have the system diagnosed before you buy.

Does a Fiat gearbox control unit need programming? No, the Fiat gearbox control units we offer do not require programming.
Where can I find the control unit number? On the module label: the 8-digit Fiat number and the Magneti Marelli type, e.g. CFC328F.02. Many labels also show an application code, e.g. NUOVA 500 1242-8V C514MTA.
What is the difference between Dualogic, Selespeed and MTA? They are automated manual gearboxes from the same Magneti Marelli family. The name depends on the model and production period; newer labels show MTA.
Does the same CFC type mean the same control unit? Not always. CFC328F.02 appears under several Fiat numbers, so compare both numbers.
Does the Fiat 500X have a Dualogic gearbox? We offer control unit 55245644 for the 500X MultiAir with the C635 DDCT dual-clutch gearbox – a different type of gearbox from Dualogic.
Are the control units tested? Yes, every control unit is bench-tested before dispatch.
