All SID208 units share the same hardware, and engine power and displacement are the same – the software changes only because of equipment. That is why after ordering, send us whether the vehicle has air conditioning and which gearbox it has: manual or automatic.
Typical damage
Water is almost always to blame. A short circuit from the injectors means the ECU no longer sends the injector signal and the vehicle will not start. The refurbished housing is protected against water but not waterproof, so keep the drains clear and protect the ECU from flooding. Virgin – programs itself
This ECU is a Virgin unit – it programs itself to the vehicle, with no coding, immobiliser programming or injector coding (condition: matching numbers and a working immobiliser). The electronics have never been repaired. We refurbished the housing and protected it against water, but it is not waterproof. Every unit is tested on the bench and in a vehicle.
