What we need to know after purchase
After purchase please tell us whether the vehicle has air conditioning and whether the gearbox is manual or automatic. The same number comes in two software versions, and they differ exactly by vehicle equipment.
Condition in which we ship the ECU
This ECU is a Virgin unit – it programs itself to the vehicle, with no coding, immobiliser programming or injector coding (condition: matching numbers and a working immobiliser). The electronics have never been repaired. We refurbished the housing and protected it against water, but it is not waterproof. Every unit is tested on the bench and in a vehicle.
On request: EGR OFF and DPF OFF. Warranty: 6 months. First installation is described in our guide SID208 Virgin ECU installation guide.
Typical damage
SID208 units are most often damaged by water: a short circuit occurs on the injector side and the ECU stops sending the signal to the injectors, so the engine will not start. The housing of this unit is protected against water but is not waterproof – protect the ECU from flooding and make sure the water drains in the vehicle are clear. What it fits
Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper with the 2.2 HDi engine. Two numbers on your ECU label decide – both must be identical:
- Continental number: S180129001L
- Software number S/W: 9691761080
