After purchase please tell us whether the vehicle has air conditioning and whether the gearbox is manual or automatic. The same number comes in two software versions, and they differ exactly by vehicle equipment.
Water – the main cause of SID208 failure
Water is almost always to blame. A short circuit from the injectors means the ECU no longer sends the injector signal and the vehicle will not start. The refurbished housing is protected against water but not waterproof, so keep the drains clear and protect the ECU from flooding. Vehicle compatibility
The ECU is intended for Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper 2.2 HDi. On the label of your old ECU find the Continental number and the S/W number – they must match character for character:
- Continental number: S180129101J
- Software number S/W: 9691551980
The remaining numbers do not affect the choice. Other SID208 units we have: S180129101K, S180129101N, S180129201B, S180129101G.
How we prepared this unit
This ECU is a Virgin unit – it programs itself to the vehicle, with no coding, immobiliser programming or injector coding (condition: matching numbers and a working immobiliser). The electronics have never been repaired. We refurbished the housing and protected it against water, but it is not waterproof. Every unit is tested on the bench and in a vehicle.
